At the Caldwell Zoo in Tyler, Texas, we stopped to visit the Squirrel Monkeys. Squirrel monkeys cannot grasp with their tails, but rather use them in balancing as they leap between trees and jump from branch to branch. They feed on fruit, insects, and flowers. Squirrel monkeys are found in Central and South America, from Costa Rica through central Brazil and Bolivia, and their habitat ranges from tropical rainforest to tropical dry forest.
