At the Caldwell Zoo in Tyler, Texas we have a leopard friend who likes the attention of our camera. Leopards are the smallest of the four big cats, behind tigers, lions and jaguars. Leopards inhabit most of Africa and some of West Asia. Those that are melanistic, a pigment condition that makes them mostly black, are often referred to as black panthers. The leopard ranges from rainforest to desert, and will feast on almost any animal it can catch.
