At the Caldwell Zoo in Tyler, Texas, we met some very large African Elephants. Native to Africa, as their name would suggest, the African elephant has four molars (teeth) that weigh a whopping eleven pounds apiece. Elephants go through about six sets of teeth in their lifetime. Male elephants can grow to be twelve feet tall and and weigh up to ten thousand pounds.
