At the Caldwell Zoo in Tyler,Texas we catch a cheetah having a look around. Cheetahs are members of the cat family who reside primarily in Afrrica. The cheetah is known to be the fastest land animal, and can reach speeds up to seventy-five miles per hour in short spans up to five hundred yards. Cheetahs are predatory cats who feed mostly on the many species of deer in Africa. Unlike most other big cats in Africa, cheetahs hunt their prey in the day time, rather than at night, because they hunt by vision instead of scent.
