In this activity, students will use paper, markers, glue, scissors and their imaginations to create paper flower chains inspired by designs found in Mexican schoolhouses. While this project may seem complex at the beginning, once students get the hang of it they'll want to keep making their chains longer and longer.
These cut paper decorations were photographed at a home in Cuernavaca, during the Day of the Dead celebrations, and were the inspiration for this activity.
