TIDES staff members, working with local teachers, have made several trips to Mexico to collect cultural and scientific material that will help students bridge the cultural divide in their classrooms. In July of 2006, staff and teachers gathered science material dealing with the ecosystems in the Yucatan. Trips in July 2007 and July 2008 were focused on art and artisans in Mexico, and interviews with artists working in several mediums, as well as photographs of their works, are now available on TIDES.
